Ken’s tone is distinctive- soft and warm. Arti Shaw had a different distinctive tone. No other like it. Benny was incomparable, but his tone was different from era to era. Tone consistency was not his priority. All geniuses.

La musica del clarinetto di Benny Goodman è vera delizia per le mie orecchie. Anche la musica di Teddy Wilson al pianoforte mi piace molto. E' strano: ho visto in più video suonare questi due gentili signori assieme da giovani ed ora me li ritrovo qua sempre assieme ma ormai anziani. Questa cosa mi fa un certo effetto, ma e' confortante constatare che la vera amicizia può esistere e durare a lungo. Sono le ore diciotto.

Saw this group perform live in Scottsdale, Arizona. I had to spend a few days there on a business trip. They were doing a Benny Goodman tribute in a brand performance facility built by the city.
